The red Studio Design grip was first introduced in 2002 and was an instant hit on Tour. This is the chosen grip for such players as Davis Love III, who used the combination of a Newport Beach and red Studio Design grip to win both the PLAYERS Championship and AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro Am. Scotty, wanting to shake it up a little, put a spin on the player approved, traditional black grip by changing the color to an attention getting bright red.
